Ridge to Root Home Inspections likes to practice consistency so the client and agents know exactly what to expect every time. When your inspection is scheduled, you will receive confirmation details and access to your agreement prior to your inspection. The inspection is a comprehensive, visual evaluation of the home's major systems - including roofing, foundation, exterior, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, interior components, insulation, and built-in appliances. Ridge to Root consistently follows the Standards of Practice established by InterNACHI, who is one of the most respected associations for all home inspectors. Typically inspections last 2-4 hours depending on the property. Clients are always welcome to attend, and Inspector will walk them through any significant findings in clear, straightforward terms. After the inspection you will receive a detailed digital report, usually within the same day. Reports are complete with photographs, clear explanations, and identifications, so the client can feel confident in their real estate journey.
Meet your Inspector
Jacob Greenawalt was born in Frankfurt Germany, while his family was stationed there with the ARMY. He grew up in Christiansburg Va., and still resides in the New River Valley with his wife and children. Coming from a barbering family, Jacob carried on the tradition. He's been a licensed Barber for 15 years, and has owned his own shop for 10 years. After spending decades in his/his family's barber shops, Jacob learned his favorite part of the profession wasn't cutting hair - it was: helping people, building relationships, earning trust, and serving the community. He chose to transition into home inspections with the same mission in mind. To help and serve more people in a new way during one of life's biggest decisions.
